My favorite tours to take guests on are my Secret Rifugio Tours. Rifugios are a kind of B&B/mountain hut that are commonly found on the trails of the Dolomites (Italian Alps). My first encounter with a rifugio (pictured above) was a surprise in the midst of a long hike. It was a welcome delight as they served beer and delicious food. I aim to recreate that delight in the Marin Headlands. The rifugios my guests will encounter may be a restaurant, a hotel, such as the Pelican Inn or the Mountain Home Inn, or it could be a rifugio I craft with a campsite, snacks, beer and wine.
